Three Five’s designs and products emphasize ease of cooperation, value and technological advances. We focus on the needs of the customer and the markets they serve with attributes of, custom size, low power consumption, enhanced industrial design, advanced functionality, durability and reliability. These qualities make our products applicable to a multitude of markets, including commercial, auto, industrial, mobile computing, communications, and entertainment devices etc.

History

Since its founding in 1986 Three Five has become a major pioneer, developer and manufacturer of advanced visual and human interface technologies.

The company being born out of National Semiconductor as “Three Five Semi Conductor” first produced materials and products for light emitting diodes. The name Three Five comes from the period table of III/V material class for GaAs. Many of the original portable Cellular phones were with Three Five LED modules.

Recognizing industry’s demand for higher information content in displays required for new products entering the marketplace, Three Five shifted its focus in the late 80’s developing and manufacturing LCD’s.

Three Five’s technical competence in being able to produce unique and application specific display and systems accounted for its rapid growth in the 1990’s. With the increased demand Three Five developed plants in the Philippines, China and in the US. As well as the manufacturing locations, Three Five developed a significant eco system of supply chain, partnerships, joint ventures and a host of matrix engagements to best suite the market place.

Three Five continues today to bring to its customers unique and tailored products and services in the display and human interface arena to serve the commercial, industrial, auto, mobile computing, communications, and entertainment devices in a various volumes to meet the demands of the market place.
